Editorial Standards
How HNN reports, verifies, and corrects the record.
Sourcing
Every HNN report relies on identifiable sources whenever possible. When confidential sources are necessary, claims are corroborated by at least two independent sources with direct knowledge of the matter.
Verification
Documents, images, and video provided to HNN are verified through metadata analysis, geolocation, reverse image search, and direct confirmation from primary sources before publication.
Independence and conflicts of interest
HNN journalists do not accept gifts or compensation from sources, do not hold equity in companies they cover, and disclose any potential conflicts to editors before assignment.
Separation of editorial and advertising
Advertising — including Google AdSense placements — has no influence on editorial decisions. Sponsored content is clearly labeled as such.
AI use
HNN uses AI tools for research support, transcription, and data processing. All published reporting is written, edited, and fact-checked by human journalists. We do not publish AI-generated articles without human authorship.
Corrections policy
Errors of fact are corrected promptly and transparently. Corrections appear at the bottom of the affected article with a clear note of what changed and when. Send corrections to corrections@hayes-news-network.com.
Anonymous sources
Anonymity is granted only when (a) the source has direct knowledge, (b) information cannot be obtained on the record, and (c) publication serves the public interest. Editors approve all anonymous-source decisions.
Diversity of sources
HNN actively seeks diverse expert sources across geography, gender, race, and ideology to produce balanced reporting.
